Watercolour and Barbara Gray

Hello and i seem to be late with today's blog post,
I have challenged my self to use things i have not used a lot off and today i have chosen some clarity stamps as these were bought a few years ago used them once or twice then they have been put away and every time i see them i say i am going to sell them or give them away but just keep the, any way i have used them in this card,
Ingredients are clarity stamps, spectrum aqua pens, memento ink pad pear tart.
watercolour card and black card.
I have stamped the wording with the memento and i stamped the leaves in the corner by colouring on to the stamp with the spectrum aqua pen i then coloured the vase and flower's with the pens and used a brush and water.
finally i mated on to black card then on to 6x6 card blank.

I hope you like and will post again i hope tomorrow,
until next time,
keep crafting.

Spectrum aqua and emmbossing powder

Hello and todays card is done with the spectrum aqua pens a Sheena Douglass stamp called Magnolia blossom and embossing powder and i also used a spellbinders die witch is called majestic labels 25.

This is one of the vids on the Leann chives dvd explaining about the aqua pens.
first you stamp clear ink on to watercolour card and emboss with clear embossing powder,
next is called wet on wet were you wet the card first then with a brush put on the colours, i coloured the pens on to glass mat first then picked up the color from there,

once i have coloured the image i cut out with the spellbinders die and ink the edges with black soot

I stamped and cut out the sentiment and matted on to black card stock

for the finish i mated on to yellow card stock and added some pearls coloured with ct4 from the spectrum noir pens.

Yet again this card took no time at all but really enjoyed doing it,
I hope you have liked this post,
Until next time,
keep on crafting,

so i used a candle tissue paper stazon ink and the stamp set Hocus Poocus code HP 1 from indigoblu and a heat tool,

I stamped the images on to tissue paper and melted them on to the candle with the heat tool, please be carful as you can burn your self.
I then made a box with centaur pearl acetate and the big score from crafters companion.

Tattered Lace die card die name Georgina

Hello and today i will be showing you a card made with a tattered lace die that came with the tattered lace magazine issue 13 the die is called Georgina,

The things you will need is 6x6 card blank, red and black card, feathers pearls. a sentiment stamp and you will need some Neena card and pens to color.

So first cut some black and red card to mat and layer onto card blank, then another mat and layer of red and black but this has to be able to fit on the front in a diamond shape,

Next you need to cut out the die, mat in black and the lady in Neena card stock then you can colour her in with any pens you like, I used spectrum noir's,

Next step is to stick some feathers behind her hat and affix her to the diamond mat and layer, this mat and layer will be stuck on with foam pads to give it some lift,

And for the finishing touches stamp a sentiment onto a even smaller mat and layer of black and red card and affix to the bottom of the card and add some black pearls in to tow opposite corners,
This is the finished card

I do hope you enjoyed having a look at my card make and how i did it,
Until next time keep on crafting.

Phoenix rising

Hello people and today is just a nice card post from me,
now the story behind this card is the layout and colours have been stuck in my head for a few weeks now and i have finally found the time to actually do out the card and i have to say i really did enjoy it as i got to finally have a good go with the aqua tints,

I have used a shenna stamp set and shenna stamping card
I coloured the phoenix with spectrum noir pencils the distressed the edges
then took a orange and  yellow aqua tint and washed over the card with water first the from top painted orange halfway down then from bottom to middle i did yellow and mixed the 2 in the middle,
i stamped flames on all corners then pained with a small brush the flames with the aqua tints,
i stamped the sentiment strait on to the background then mattered with black card and there you have it all done,

I am hopping to do this card some time in the year at one or both of my craft classes i run and i really think the ladies will love it as much as i do,
Until next time,
Keep crafting

SPECTRUM NOIR REVIEW

My personal review of spectrum noir pen’s.

Hello and this is my personal review, I first started using these pens in 2012 and first of all I really hated my coloring I first started using promarkets and could not get on with them at all but I will talk further more in another review,
The SP pen system really called to me for a couple of reasons,
1.   COST- the cost of the system really appealed to me I cannot for the life of me remember what I paid for my first set but in the sets of six they work out at £1.31 for the sets of 24 a pen works out £1.05 now lets look at this there is 168 pens in the system buying all in one go would work out at £1.17a pen now compared to the copics that are priced from £2.50 upwards don’t think that is bad at all, also refills are £5.99 and can fill pen about 5-6 times. But for a bit more info I teach with my pens and it was a good 10 months before I had to fill my first pen.
2.   THE NUMBER SYSTEM- I found the numbers and letters on the pens so good for a beginner as e.g.- CR meaning coral red CT means citrus and the numbers so the lower the number the lighter the pen the higher the number the darker the pen which is ace as I can then pick up  a CR 9 6 3 and know I should have a nice blended color when I have finished.
3.   HELP- I call this help as if you ring crafters companion they are always helpful plus the facebook page and not for getting the spectrum noir blog is full of help and projects, and the dvds produced by crafters companion featuring Leann chives the lady how developed the pen system.
So know I would like to talk about using them, one thing is they are easy to refill I find colouring with them was smooth and when blended no lines can be seen, the ink seems to be a good quality and so do the nibs which by the way are all replaceable.

Final thoughts on the pens are grate value good quality ace for beginners and pros.

FOR MY NEXT REVIEW PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON

DISCLAIMER- this review is my own opionion, I have not been paid endoursed or asked to do this by any company I am not affiliated with any company.
